Deras debutalbum The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard and Clark släpptes samma år på skivbolaget A&M. Med sig hade de bland annat Bernie Leadon, som också bidrog med sex av albumets låtar.
Nyutgåvan har remastrats av Kevin Gray för Intervention Records.

Im Jahr 1968, kurz nachdem Gene Clark die „Byrds“ verlassen hatte und Doug Dillard die „Dillards“, gründeten der Singer-Songwriter und der Bluegrass-Banjo-Spieler das Country-Rock-Duo „Dillard and Clark“. Ihr erstes Album „The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard and Clark” wurde im gleichen Jahr beim Label A&M veröffentlicht. Begleitet werden sie unter anderem von Bernie Leadon, der auch sechs der Songs für das Album beisteuert.
Das Remastering für Intervention Records übernahm Kevin Gray.
