It is sometimes difficult to distinguish between what was intended as professional and consumer products, in fact, we don't think Charlin himself made any such distinction. He was only concerned with the production of the very best equipment possible, equipment that was equally suited for the recording studio, sound reenforcement in a church or for use in the home. The different categories above are therefore entirely our own invention and are made only for clarity. The Colonne loudspeakers for example are included under the consumer heading, but were equally sold to recording studios for use as monitors and to churches and concert halls as PA-systems. Under the professional heading you will find equipment mainly, but once again not exclusivly, aimed at the recording professional, as well as the cinematic equipment created and built by André Charlin ![]() |
